Thrive HR - Talent Acquisition Case Study

The Client and Challenge

Our client needed an experienced HR Manager from a technology company in the Bay Area. Our client, a smaller start-up in Silicon Valley, lacked the talent acquisition infrastructure to hire this candidate. Thrive HR was awarded the search based upon placing the CHRO and having a less expensive and highly effective proprietary talent acquisition process. 

The client turned to Thrive HR Consulting and asked how our proprietary talent acquisition process could help them fill this critical position. We told them that we would be able to fill the position at a 50% to 60% reduction in fees compared to what the traditional executive search firm would charge, and our time to fill would be faster. 

 The Approach

Our proprietary process targeted highly matched passive candidates available in the industry for the position. We conduct the reach-outs and first-round interviews, create a slate of candidates to interview, track all parameters of the search, and schedule all the candidate interviews for the opening with the VP of People and other C-suite leaders.

The Result

On November 15, 2023, this position was filled by Thrive HR.

 Key Performance Indicators:

  •  The time to fill was 75 days.
  •  Number of candidates screened – 35
  •  Number of candidates presented –15
  •  Number of candidates interviewed – 9

 The names of companies candidates came from – GAP, Cisco, Sony, Samsung, Altos Labs, The Real Real,  EA, and Microsoft.

Cost savings to our client – $46.5K for a search firm vs $19K for Thrive HR or 41% of the search fee or $27.5K in savings!
